Bakery Team Member Spanish

SUMMARY

Responsible to run various aspects of production, packaging and cleaning for a natural food bakery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operating different machines within the production room.
  • Handling packaging of product as it is completed.
  • Assisting with cleaning of the production room and various other areas.
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Sets up, operates, adjusts and performs minor maintenance on Bakery On Main production and packaging machines.
  • Accurately complete all production paperwork.
  • Knowledge of line cleaning and testing.
  • Ability to set up and make necessary adjustments to the equipment.
  • Switch between flavors quickly and efficiently as needed.
  • Print necessary box labels.
  • Good communication skills to work with production, maintenance and management staff.
  • Should have good verbal and written skills.

BASIC JOB: Plan, supervise and control bakery production. Blend and cook products. Make sure there are enough products to fulfill orders on a timely basis. Make sure that inventory paperwork including lot number tracing is done correctly. Make sure that lot numbers are affixed correctly to all products. Make sure all Allergens and Organics are accounted for correctly and not co-mingled with other products.

Expected to learn Basic Good Manufacturing Practices and Hygiene, Work Instructions for assigned work area, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for assigned work area, Standard Operating Procedures for assigned work area, Safety Procedures for assigned work area, and Quality at the Source testing and documentation procedures for assigned work area.

AREA CLEANLINESS: Make sure the bakery area is cleaned daily and trash is removed.

PRODUCT SAFETY: Make sure all ingredients and packaging are placed on pallets. Make sure they and other workers follow GMPs. Report to Operations Manager any problems that compromise product Safety.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work independently and as a team player. The right candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in all aspects of the position and be available for overtime as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and on the job training is offered.
