Gluten Free Gals in San Diego

This past weekend was a blast in San Diego! Gluten Free Calendar hosted their Celebrate Celiac event at Petco Park before the Padres game and I got to grab breakfast with some wonderful GF ladies! I had a great time chatting with some people new to the gluten free world and some loyal Bakery On Main fans!

I finally got to meet KC from G-Free Foodie!

Plus Bridgette from GF Calendar jumped in :)[/caption]   The next morning we enjoyed a really wonderful gluten free breakfast at Snooze AM Eatery in Hillcrest. Their menu was out of this world including Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes, Strawberry Coconut French Toast, and just about any veggie you could want in an omelette! We informed our server that there were three celiacs at the table ( like I have mentioned before, I do not have to eat gluten free but still ate GF) Our server went over the entire menu with us to point out all GF options and substitutions that could be made. Here is my wonderful breakfast below. I am an omelette girl but could not give up the chance to have a peanut butter cup pancake! All of the gluten free/special diet food is served on blue plates, so the kitchen and servers know. The staff was very helpful and took everything the girls said very seriously. The general manager also came over and checked in with us to make sure everything was alright, and asked what they could do better in the future. Overall I had a great experience at Snooze AM and will definitely be going back!

So happy I got to spend time with some great gals and share a wonderful meal. Looking forward to when I make my visit to Phoenix!

Peace, Love and Granola,
